Your Fall Intimacy Reset
Compartir
Everyone talks about spring cleaning, but can we talk about the amount of crap we suddenly notice when fall rolls around?
The summer clothes get packed away. Blankets come back out. Closets get reorganized. You wash the comforter and finally deal with that pile that's been sitting in the corner long enough to qualify as furniture. But there's another part of the house that could probably use a little attention too.
When was the last time you cleaned out your toy drawer?
And I don't mean moving everything around until the drawer closes again. I mean actually pulling everything out, figuring out what you still use, cleaning what you're keeping, matching toys to the mystery chargers you've accumulated, and asking yourself why you're still holding onto something you haven't touched in three years.
Consider this your fall intimacy reset. We're getting rid of the cobwebs in more ways than one.
Start With THAT Drawer
You know the one. Pull everything out so you can actually see what you own. You may rediscover something you completely forgot about, find the toy you've been looking for since March, or realize you've been reaching for the same two favorites while everything else has slowly migrated to the back.
While everything is out, take a good look at it. Check your toys for cracks, tears, changes in texture, damage, or anything else that looks different from when you bought them. Clean everything you're keeping according to the manufacturer's instructions and let it dry completely before storing it again.
Then ask the slightly harder question: Do I actually still use this?
Your toy drawer doesn't need to become a museum dedicated to every purchase you've ever made. If something is damaged or no longer functioning properly, it's time to retire it. And if something is perfectly fine but hasn't interested you in years, you don't have to keep it simply because you bought it once.
Keep what you enjoy. Take care of it. Give it an actual home.
Please Tell Me You Know What Those Chargers Belong To
This might be my favorite part of the whole reset. Gather the chargers. Match them to their toys. Charge anything that's running low (and put it on your calendar to do this quarterly). If you've got three mystery cords and absolutely no idea what they belong to... welcome to the club.
While you're at it, check the other things you reach for regularly. Look at expiration dates where applicable. Wipe down bottles that have gotten a little questionable around the cap. Replace anything that's empty, expired, damaged, or no longer appropriate for how you're using it. If its a liquid item, try to live by the 2 year shelf life rule.
This isn't the glamorous side of sexual wellness, but neither is reaching for your favorite toy and discovering it's completely dead at a very inconvenient moment.
Give Everything a Home
Once you know what's staying, let's stop scattering everything between the nightstand, bathroom cabinet, closet, dresser, and that one box you really hope nobody opens. A dedicated storage bag can make a surprisingly big difference.
The Tallulah Locking Toy Bag gives you one discreet place to keep your personal items organized and easier to find. It's especially handy if you have kids, roommates, houseguests, or anyone else who doesn't need to accidentally discover your extracurricular activities while looking for a phone charger.
Organization isn't the sexiest word in the world, but you know what also isn't sexy? "Hold on. I KNOW the lube is in here somewhere."
Make Room for What You're Into NOW
Here's the part of cleaning things out that I actually love. It gives you a chance to notice whether your collection still matches what you enjoy now. Bodies change. Preferences change. Relationships change. Technology changes. Something you loved five years ago might not be what excites you today, and something you wouldn't have looked twice at back then might suddenly have you thinking, "Okay... tell me more."
You don't need to replace everything you remove. This isn't secretly an excuse for me to convince you to buy an entirely new toy drawer. But if cleaning things out happens to create a little room for something new, October has provided us with a ridiculously appropriate option.
Tiltap looks like candy corn. I'm sorry, but I don't make the rules. 😂

Sometimes one thing that makes you curious again is enough to bring a little novelty back into your routine.
And unlike actual candy corn, this one isn't leaving crumbs in your bed.
Your Positioning Furniture Needs a Cleaning Day Too
If you own positioning furniture, don't forget about it while you're on your cleaning spree. These pieces get touched, leaned on, stored, pulled back out, and used just like everything else in the bedroom. If yours has a removable washable cover, this is a good time to give it some attention too. Always follow the specific care instructions for your piece and fabric before washing or drying anything.
Take a look at the cover while it's off. If it's worn, damaged, or you've simply been thinking about changing things up, a replacement cover can give a familiar piece a refresh without replacing the furniture underneath. These can be ordered directly though me so just reach out and we can get you set.
Fresh sheets get all the glory. Your Wedge deserves a spa day too.
Now Protect the Bed You Just Cleaned
You washed the comforter. The sheets are fresh. The bedroom is clean. Naturally, now is when you're going to spill something on it. This is why I love products that aren't necessarily the most exciting thing in the store until the exact moment you realize how useful they are.
A Toy Pad gives you a smaller protective layer right where you need it instead of covering the entire bed. It can help protect your bedding from lubricants, massage products, body fluids, and the other evidence of a night well spent.
Much easier than enjoying yourself and then realizing you now have to strip the entire bed. Again.
Your Fall Reset Checklist
If you're now mentally inventorying the contents of your nightstand, here's your game plan:
- Empty your toy storage completely instead of cleaning around everything.
- Inspect toys for damage, cracks, tears, or changes in texture.
- Clean everything according to its individual care instructions and let it dry completely before storing.
- Match toys with their chargers and charge your favorites.
- Check expiration dates and replace empty, expired, or damaged products.
- Give everything you're keeping a dedicated storage space.
- Wash removable positioning furniture covers according to their care instructions.
- Keep a Toy Pad nearby to help protect freshly cleaned bedding.
- Let go of the things you never use anymore.
- Pay attention to what you're actually curious about now.
A Little Reset Can Go a Long Way
Your fall intimacy reset doesn't need to mean buying an entirely new bedroom. Clean what you love. Take care of what you're keeping. Retire the things that have seen better days. Organize everything so you can actually find it when you want it. Protect the comforter you would really rather not wash twice in the same week.
And while you're doing all of that, take a minute to notice whether your collection still reflects you now. Sexual wellness isn't always about finding the newest thing. Sometimes it's taking better care of what you already have and creating a space that makes it easier to enjoy it.
Of course, if a candy-corn-looking toy happens to find its way into your freshly organized drawer... Well, we were trying to get rid of the cobwebs.
