April Fools: The Bedroom Edition

There are a lot of things people think are “normal” in the bedroom, so today we’re calling them out.

“Desire should just happen naturally.” APRIL FOOLS.

For a lot of people, desire doesn’t just show up out of nowhere… it builds. This is called responsive desire, and it’s incredibly common. Especially in long-term relationships, busy seasons, or when your brain is juggling 47 things at once.

If you’ve ever thought, “Why am I not just instantly in the mood?” You’re not broken… your body just works differently. Sometimes it needs a little warm-up, attention, or intention to get there.

“If it’s not working, something is wrong.” APRIL FOOLS.

Bodies change. Stress happens. Hormones shift. Life gets full. Needing a little extra support sometimes? Completely normal.

That could look like slowing down, adding more stimulation, or using products that help your body respond more easily. That’s not fixing a problem. That’s working with your body instead of against it.

“You should already know what works.” APRIL FOOLS.

Pleasure isn’t something you magically figure out once and never revisit. What you like can change. What feels good can evolve. Exploring isn’t a sign you’re doing something wrong… it’s a sign you’re paying attention.

“More effort = better experience.” APRIL FOOLS.

It’s not about doing more. It’s about doing what actually feels good. Sometimes the biggest difference comes from the smallest shifts… better comfort, better angles, or just slowing things down.

“You don’t need anything extra.” APRIL FOOLS.

Support tools exist for a reason. Lubricants, arousal serums, positioning aids… these aren’t “extras.” They’re enhancers!! They help you feel more, relax more, and actually enjoy the experience without pressure.

So, what’s actually true?

Real intimacy isn’t about guessing, performing, or getting it “perfect.”

It’s about:
✔ understanding your body
✔ being open to exploring
✔ using support when it helps

And most importantly, letting it feel good without overthinking it.

If something hasn’t been working the way you thought it “should”, it might not be you. It might just be a myth you’ve been told. And honestly... that’s the real April Fools 😉
